This osprey cam is a wireless system, meaning there are no wires connecting the video camera to the computer that puts images and sound on the Internet. Mounted on the pole at the Marsh Meadows nest is an infra-red color video camera mounted on a long arm above the nest. This webcam is available during late March thru June, when peregrines are nesting, hatching, and raising young ones until they fledge. The nest is on the "Superman Building" in downtown Providence, more accurately known as the old Industrial Trust/Fleet Bank building. |
