Dear Friends and Family,
We hope that this letter finds you well.
We’d like to share major news with you about the future of The Apeiron Institute for Sustainable Living. The Apeiron Institute will no longer continue to operate as an independent non-profit that provides programs in our Rhode Island community and schools. Moving forward, our environmental education work, curriculum, and the eco-house in Coventry, Rhode Island will continue under the YWCA Rhode Island. The YWCA Rhode Island is a strong non-profit whose commitment to social justice and local change for women, communities, and families is an inspiration for others.
As part of this transition, the YWCA staff will determine how Apeiron’s resources can best be utilized to serve the Rhode Island community. If you want to continue working toward Apeiron’s vision, please contact the YWCA for volunteer opportunities.
While we are sad to say goodbye to Apeiron as we have known it, we are thrilled to know that the work of countless staff, volunteers, and community members will continue on with the YWCA Rhode Island. Given the uncertainty of climate protection due to our current political landscape, please know that we will continue to fight alongside you for a better world.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Alanna Green at alanna.k.green@gmail.com or Kate Aubin at kateaubin@gmail.com.
In solidarity,
The Apeiron Board of Directors
